Whether it's a conference, exhibition, live performance or public gathering, good event photography should capture more than simply who was there. It should reflect the energy of the occasion, the people involved and the moments that made it memorable.

Photographing live events requires anticipation, an eye for detail and the ability to work discreetly without interrupting proceedings. From keynote speakers and audience reactions to the unexpected moments that often tell the best stories, I aim to capture a complete picture of the occasion, providing images suitable for press coverage, websites, social media and future publicity.

News

News photography is about being in the right place at the right time, recognising the significance of what is happening and capturing images that tell the story accurately and without embellishment. From breaking news and current affairs to local developments and events of public interest, a strong news photograph can communicate the importance of a story in a way that words alone sometimes cannot.

My time working in television news and photojournalism have taken me to some of the world's biggest news stories, often in challenging circumstances and against demanding deadlines. That experience has taught me to work quickly, independently and with sound editorial judgement, producing informative and compelling photographs for newspapers, news agencies and online publications, ready for immediate editorial use.

Property

Good property photography is about more than simply showing rooms and buildings. It's about capturing the character of a property, making the most of its natural light, space and architectural features, and helping prospective buyers, tenants or visitors appreciate what makes it appealing. From residential homes and commercial premises to architectural interiors and exteriors, carefully composed photographs can make a considerable difference to how a property is presented.

Every building has its own qualities, and I take time to find the angles, lighting and details that show it at its best. Whether photographing a property for sale, a development project, a commercial space or a completed architectural design, my aim is to produce attractive, accurate images that give a clear sense of the building and its surroundings. Photographs can be used for estate agency listings, property brochures, websites, marketing campaigns and architectural publications.

Sports

Sport is about much more than the action on the pitch. There's so much more: determination, teamwork, individual achievement and the emotions that come with winning and losing. Effective sports photography captures those moments, creating images that tell the wider story of a sporting occasion.

Covering sport at both grassroots and professional levels, I understand the importance of anticipation, timing and being in the right place when something happens. Whether photographing a decisive moment of play, an individual performance or the atmosphere surrounding an event, I aim to produce striking images that reflect the character and excitement of the sport.
